How long does a refund take?
Trustly processes payments but doesn’t issue refunds directly. Refunds are handled by the merchant.
Once the merchant requests a refund with Trustly, it’s usually returned to your bank account within 24 hours. In some cases, such as weekends or holidays, it may take a little longer.
What you can do:
- Allow up to 72 hours for the refund to appear in your account
In most cases, no further action is needed.

If the refund hasn’t arrived after 72 hours, please contact us via our support page. Include a proof of payment (PoP) showing your name, sending IBAN, receiving IBAN, date, amount, and any reference numbers. This helps us locate your payment and resolve the issue faster.
