What is a Retry transaction?

When you pay with Trustly, the money appears in your wallet or merchant account instantly. However, it typically takes 1-3 days to actually settle and leave your bank account.

If a payment is returned by the bank due to non-sufficient funds (NSF), the following occurs:

  1. We try again. We automatically attempt to process the payment a second time. You may see this labeled as "Retry" on your bank statement.
  2. We may charge you an NSF fee. Trustly, and your bank, may charge you an NSF fee for the returned payment. To avoid these fees, ensure you keep enough money in your account to cover all authorized transactions until they clear the account.
