Debt Communication From Trustly

Why did I receive a notification from Trustly that my transaction failed to settle and is it legitimate?

Copy link to clipboard

When you request a deposit to a merchant using Trustly's online banking service, we provide immediate access to your funds so you can use them right away. Because these transactions are processed via the ACH network, the withdrawal from your bank account can take up to 3 business days to clear.

If a transaction fails to settle—meaning it was returned by your bank unpaid and there is now a debt owed—we will reach out to you directly to arrange payment. You can confirm this communication is legitimate by checking the sender's email domain. Our official address used for debt notifications is noreply@notifications.trustly.com.* If a transaction fails to settle, we will always send the details from this specific address.

*Please note that Trustly may also use other official domains for different types of communication.
