Trustly bolsters its North American management team with Citigroup, PayPal alumni

San Carlos, California, November 12, 2020 – Trustly, the global leader in Online Banking Payments, is pleased to announce that it is expanding its North American management team to support its accelerating growth in North America.

Alexandre Gonthier will continue to lead the North American business as CEO of Trustly North America, and also takes on an additional role as Global Chief Strategy Officer. Alexandre founded PayWithMyBank in Silicon Valley in 2012, which merged with Trustly in 2019, and has spent his career as a fintech entrepreneur and investor. His new appointment reflects Trustly's momentum in North America and the success of its global expansion strategy.

John McLane has been promoted to President of Trustly North America, where he previously served as COO and CFO. Prior to joining Trustly, John had a long history of leading enterprise technology companies and delivering results for shareholders, including Vista Equity Partners, Apax Partners, and Sverica Capital.

Wendy Roberts joins Trustly as VP Risk. Wendy is an expert in marketplace, social media, and fintech risk, and was formerly Vice President of Trust & Safety and Customer Support at Thumbtack. Prior to Thumbtack, Wendy held positions at Facebook, PayPal, and Fair Isaac.

Michelle Tien joins Trustly as VP People and Operations. Michelle has dedicated her career to growing and scaling financial services businesses and enterprise products. She has held high profile and C-suite positions with leading firms including Citigroup, S&P Global, and American Express.
